Launching : The Mummy 3

So I’ve finally made another blog that’ll be more official to exhibit my enthusiasms.
Mostly just about the usual stuffs in the common lifestyle.. What’s hot and what’s trying to be hot.
Music, Movie Reviews/previews and upcomings, Gadgets, etc…

First up to make my post-debut is what to hit on the big screens this year. Now, a lot of blockbusters kicked in theaters recently where satisfaction never hits the taste, the perfect one that is. We see the trailer and it’s a tongue-out tease, when we finally get to experience, the disappointment preceeeds! But the year has been started yet. There’s a plenty of films out there to dyingly anticipate….

The Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor..

The much long awaited of the 3rd installment of the Mummy franchise is here!! With surprising acts to follow, but not too delightful news for the fans. As new taste of effects and style added on the film, later to come out this fall. We expect some more hardcore actions which include martial arts, a little bit of magic, and of course the never ending adventure..

Brendan Fraser returns as explorer Rick O’Connell to combat the resurrected Han Emperor (Jet Li) in an epic that races from the catacombs of ancient China high into the frigid Himalayas. Rick is joined in this all-new adventure by son Alex (newcomer Luke Ford), wife Evelyn (Maria Bello) and her brother, Jonathan (John Hannah). And this time, the O’Connells must stop a mummy awoken from a 2,000-year-old curse who threatens to plunge the world into his merciless, unending service.

Doomed by a double-crossing sorceress (Michelle Yeoh) to spend eternity in suspended animation, China’s ruthless Dragon Emperor and his 10,000 warriors have laid forgotten for eons, entombed in clay as a vast, silent terra cotta army. But when dashing adventurer Alex O’Connell is tricked into awakening the ruler from eternal slumber, the reckless young archaeologist must seek the help of the only people who know more than he does about taking down the undead: his parents.

As the monarch roars back to life, our heroes find his quest for world domination has only intensified over the millennia. Striding the Far East with unimaginable supernatural powers, the Emperor Mummy will rouse his legion as an unstoppable, otherworldly force…unless the O’Connells can stop him first.

Now how did that sound? The legendary martial artist Jet Li as despotic Emperor in 50 B.C, which actually have wushu up his sleeve and a shift-shifting ability!! together with Michelle Yeoh as the evil wizardress who laid a curse to JL in the story. An asian HK actress Isabella Leong is also to debut as an assassin set to pawn Alex (played by Luke Ford - as son of Brendan in the movie) to stop him from discovering about the location of the tomb. But to spoil you, he actually prevails..

Much also to expect about the film is the ‘Terra Cota Army’  (I will post a whole out info about it later).  And the fight scene between Jet and Brendan in a highly balletic, powerful Wushu vs. the brutal directness of Krav Maga!!!

Not that’s worth a wait since the film will not be released until August…

So the bad news is Rachel Weisz won’t be reprising her role.. Maria Belo is replacing her chracter but only with few scenes so that the crucial piece will somehow covered up. Weisz chose Peter Jackson’s ‘Lovely Bones’ to star in instead. Also, the film is now directed by Rob Cohen, the man responsible for ‘xXX’, ‘The Fast and The Furious’. and ‘Stealth’. I’m sure it’s all hardcore action which is, by the way, a good mix of adventure. I wanted Stephen Sommers to have directed the film since it was all his imagination from the very start, but my mind is open for Cohen. *fingers crossed*

Visit Rob Cohen’s blog to get first updates of the film.

This is it for now… I shall be posting more exciting news!
